Our Christmas Miracle came early! Bain’s muscle biopsy came back mostly normal and healthy. No muscle, metabolic, or cognitive disease! I could have passed out from joy! Instead of passing out, I think I’ll give thanks.
Thank you first and foremost to God. Without His presence, grace, and mercy I would have crumbled. Everyday is a gift, every breath, every hill, and every valley. I’m thankful he’s removed this obstacle in our journey. Bain’s story continues with figuring out what is wrong. He goes to a liver specialist next week, and I’m grateful it’s with a pioneer of pediatric hepatology.
I’m so thankful for the people He’s brought to my life that have helped, prayed, and loved us through this. My family, Bain’s father’s family, friends, and even strangers have been Christ’s arms, wrapped around us with hope and love.
I’m thankful for this outlet. Even if nobody were to ever read Bain’s Story I would still write. It sure beats venting on social media about it all. I’m grateful for all that do read and follow. What a blessing!
Bain’s next step should start to be the final steps in finding out what’s wrong. It could involve a liver biopsy, it could not. I’m ok with that. For the first time in a very long time, I’m truly ok with waiting. Hallelujah and Amen!
