Celtic Advent Day 35:
O Antiphon Root Of Jesse
In that day the root of Jesse, who shall stand as a signal for the peoples—of him shall the nations inquire, and his resting place shall be glorious
Isaiah 11:10 (ESV)
Write memories of God’s faithfulness in your life on paper ornaments and hang them on the tree.
God has been faithful to me in more ways than I even realize. Doing this practice is a great way to really sit and recall all the ways He’s been faithful in our lives. Sure, when asked on the spot we can say Jesus or some major event in our life. When we actually sit and write it down, we allow ourselves more time to marinate in His faithfulness. The little things like comforting us when we felt uneasy. Maybe the time we had a really bad day and it made a turn for the better in some small way. God’s faithfulness can come through from the help of others, as well. I’ll never forget the time I was really at a loss on what I should do in a situation. Then my phone rang. It was a special person in my life who said God was nudging her to check on me. God is always faithful. What ways have you seen this in your life?
