Reevaluation

I haven’t blogged in a while. What do I write about? Do I write about the fact that I’m going through a faith “crisis”? How do I tell people who the God I believed in last month looks different from what I believe in now? Easy. That’s the whole point of my blog. Right?

When I started this, I was so sure that I wasn’t sure. I just didn’t realize how mysterious God is. There is so much going on. I can’t even begin to explain it. Politically, we’re in tumultuous times. Personally, I’m overwhelmed. What do I say? My world has been rocked and I don’t know how to get my grounding.

Words are how i communicate. They’re my passion. Now, I’m just waiting on words. A word from Jesus. A word from my son. A word from above. A word from my home. A word from my heart.

  1. One of my favorite encouragements in difficult times is Psalm 46:10 “Be still and know that I am God…..”. The Jewish faith sometimes interprets this as “Cease striving and know that I am God….”. It tells me that what I am searching for will be found in the quiet spaces of my mind. Meditation, reflection, prayer. Don’t give up. For me, the testing times always result in revelation. God bless.
